About the Department

Connections and Engineering (C&E) are responsible for being the first point of contact for customers wishing to submit an application for either a new connection or alter their existing connection. C&E are also responsible for processing all customers requests who wish to accept their designed quotation.

What is the Role

As a Connections Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for customers wishing to have a new electricity connection, increase the size of their existing connection, install generation, or move the equipment supplying their property. You will also speak to many customers regarding other general engineering enquiries.

You will be responsible for guiding our customers through the process of applying for new connections, increased demand, moving of existing equipment as well as a variety of other general engineering enquiries. Primarily using PROMIS (our project management system) you will process applications making sure all the documents required have been received so that we are able to prepare an accurate quotation. Due to regulations placed on us, it is extremely important that you can produce high quality of work, paying close attention to detail whilst making sure all applications are passed to the quotation stage in a timely manner.

What do I need?

You'll be a great team player and will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as holding a keen eye for detail. A proven background in delivering excellent customer service is vital as is some telephony experience. You will be well organised with the ability to work to deadlines and will possess the ability to motivate people.

You will also have experience using basic computer packages.
