Salary: £32,700 - £49,100 depending on skills and experience plus bonus and car allowance

What is the Role?

Managing the full lifecycle of fibre and civils projects within the UK. Producing design proposals, tender responses, costings and quotations. Conducting site surveys and discovery exercises. Managing fibre optic cabling, splicing and testing projects. Production of risk assessments and method statements. Site and safety management. Working with customers to deliver project to time and budget to the required specification. Managing multiple sites / projects. Responsible for managing onsite engineers / supply chain. Working with vendors & manufacturers to ensure quality management. Monthly financial control, reporting & analysis. Production of O&M manuals.

Commercial and legal awareness. You will already have experience of managing and leading others, with a good knowledge of NRSWA and local authority procedures. Knowledge of HAUC, CDM and Health and Safety regulations. You'll be a great communicator who is able to effectively manage and motivate your team. You should be organised, have good process-management skills and able to manage time effectively to ensure that you and your team can work to tight deadlines. A good working knowledge of MS Office is also essential as you will be required to produce regular reports.

You will have the ability to cope with a wide range of challenging deliverables in a demanding, evolving environment and display a strong understanding of SSE's business needs. Self-motivated and capable of influencing others, you'll be confident in communicating with stakeholders at all levels both internally and with external suppliers.

What do I need?

To succeed in this role your communication, organisational and presentation skills will be first class. Holding qualifications such as IOSH, SMSTS, CSCS, NRSWA supervisor. City and Guilds Fibre qualification would be advantageous but not essential for this role.

We are seeking a Project Manager to manage the full lifecycle of fibre and civils projects within the UK. You will be responsible for, tenders, costings and quotations as well as conducting site surveys and discovery exercises. You will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure the projects are delivered to time and to budget.

A full driving licence is essential for this role.
