Our Role

The purpose of the Route to Market (RTM) team is to procure energy from the wholesale energy markets. The Trading Team within RTM is responsible for managing the Commercial Operations, Hedging and Risk Policy to provide a route to market for SSE Energy Services.

The role of the Business and Reporting Analyst is to work with the Front, Middle and Back Office to document processes and make recommendations for improvement and generate the Trading and Risk Reports necessary for the procurement of Energy for Retail Customers.

Your Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate for this role will have Business Analysis experience ideally in the energy market. In addition, you will have a strong record academically in an analytical field such as a degree in mathematics, economics, engineering or finance. Youll also be comfortable using the MS Office suite of applications and in particular experience with Power BI would be advantageous.

Youll be analytical and numerate with the ability to present your analysis with precision in a compelling way to influence stakeholders

In this role there will be challenges and times of change, so youll need resilience and enthusiasm to sometimes work under pressure.
