About the Department
Energy Customer Solutions is the face of SSE to our customers in GB and Ireland, providing leading and reliable B2B services as well as leading retail solutions for our B2C customers.
What is the Role
-To define, analyse and document any existing and new business processes in support of project and programme delivery.
-Works closely with the IT Business Analyst to ensure an end to end understanding of IT project and programme process impacts
-Works with business colleagues to define and document business process in support of Project and programme delivery
-Undertakes project impact assessments to refine and document new processes in support of project and programme delivery
-Participates in business process analysis projects and tasks under the leadership a designated Project Manager or Portfolio Change Manager
-Plans, prioritises, manages and executes analysis work on multiple simple or individual complex projects in order to regularly achieve cost and timescale targets
-Works with the business to understand and prioritise conflicting needs
-Contributes to the execution of user system testing and to the test plan for large projects
-Identifies and determines end-to-end business processes using standard methods
-Presents business process concepts to process owners and business users
-Identifies and assesses business and operational risk
-Prepares succinct reports and communications that are tailored to different situations and audiences
-Ensure that all Business Process documentation meets ISO 9001 2015 and other defined standards
What do I need?
-Clear understanding of the gas and electricity industry data flows, metering standards and regulations
-Experience from a similar support or development role in supporting business critical projects in a medium/large organisation
-Excellent process mapping, analysis and knowledge transfer skills to a proven professional level
-Able to take ownership of problems and requests as well as the ability to work in a pressurised environment
-Excellent time management skills; able to effectively plans own and others time
-Good working knowledge of BPMN and other process notation languages
-Excellent working knowledge of Visio
-A proactive approach with the ability to prioritise own workload within demanding schedules
-Strong written and verbal skills
-Good facilitation skills; enables people to reach agreement and develop work practices
