What is the Role?
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Compliance Lead. As part of this role you will use your expertise to advise the business on Regulatory & Data Protection compliance, provide assurance support on process & policy compliance, and help manage & mitigate Operational risk.
You will lead a small team with responsibilities including: assessment of business processes vs. regulatory obligations, delivery of improvement changes to business processes and customer communications, maintaining and managing a risk control framework, and undertaking internal reviews of our policies, processes and regulatory reporting submissions.
You will work closely with Operations and Regulation teams within the wider business and will represent the business in various internal and external stakeholder engagements. Our future plans include the appointment of an Assurance Analyst who you will manage to support the delivery of Assurance activity
The role will involve working with various cross functional stakeholders to ensure a joined-up approach of delivering a compliant business operation and will be required to act as a representative for the business in various internal and external stakeholder engagements.
In the role you will be a leader for business in all aspects of our values & commitments and you will lead by example as we as we commit to delivering a compliant and customer focused culture.
What do I need?
To be successful in this role you will have experience relating to regulatory compliance and business assurance. You must be organised and have a strong attention to detail. There is a zero appetite for compliance failings therefore you must be willing to challenge the processes in place, be a pragmatic thinker and provide recommendations, be willing to take ownership to implement improvements and be restless about maintaining a control environment. Working knowledge of MS Office is essential. Finally, you should be an individual who has a positive attitude, who works well as part of a team and leads by example through the living our values & commitments.
