What is the Role?
You'll be joining an outstanding team who are passionate about what they do, and we now need other enthusiastic people to join us. You'll thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and be prepared to help us achieve our strategic objective - to promote and grow our Smart Business division with end users and FM companies.
No two days are the same and experiences differ from opportunity to opportunity. Predominantly working in our Leeds region, you'll work on iconic developments, collaborate with SSE smart cities teams and develop client relationships with new and existing partners.
Reporting directly into the branch Business Manager, you'll be incentivised to seek out, qualify and close new support sales opportunities by introducing the full suite of services that SSE deliver. You'll utilise sales tools to plan and document progress and increase business opportunities in the market whilst providing regular reporting of the sales pipeline.
You'll have the back-up of our expert design and estimating support team, with great references and testimonials from past and current projects. You'll also be working for one of the largest BMS businesses in the market, with strong manufacturer relationships and support, alongside a team with a winning mentality and determination to achieve our shared goals.
Daily you'll proactively identify and contact new clients, cultivating and managing long-term relationships to ensure success. This will involve understanding their business, operational and environmental objectives. You'll also utilise your own industry experience in BMS / energy management and be able to share your knowledge and expertise with the client to ensure you are able to match the sales solution to their operational requirement.
Finally, you'll be managing our Remote Optimal platform which provides a comprehensive analytics solution which offers a range of technology led services to complement our engineering teams. We have also developed a range of products that align with emerging requirements in the workplace, and you'll therefore look to promote these by differentiating SSE from competitors based on business benefit.
What Do I Need?
To be successful in this role, you'll currently be operating as a strategic sales/account manager with relevant experience within either; Building Energy Management Systems, complementary Building Management Services or Facilities Management. You'll also bring credibility to lead within a complex organisation, possessing an exceptional mix of commercial, sales, and delivery leadership skills.
Additionally, you'll have experience in forging compelling commercial proposals, selling business cases and to managing budgets to create future value.
As you will be travelling to different sites its essential that you hold a full driving licence.
