What is the Role?
SSE has set a target of tripling Renewable generation output to 30TWh by 2030. A significant proportion of this capacity will be contracted through competitive processes or auctions in UK&I as well as internationally. Success in these bid processes will be crucial for delivering at this scale and will be dependent on an innovative approach to adding value to projects and bids.
The Bid Co-ordinator will work in the SSE Renewables bid team, working across markets and technologies to deliver competitive and commercially robust bids. The role is responsible for providing effective and efficient bid-coordination and administrative support to the Bid Director and bid team. The role involves collating bid compliance and administration documents, supporting bid governance as well as data gathering/analysis and reporting to ensure that the team are organised and focused on their designated responsibilities.
What do I need?
The Bid Co-ordinator with have demonstrable experience in a fast-paced environment with multiple work streams in play with a focus on achieving and delivering results within deadlines. You'll have excellent knowledge bid compliance and supporting bid processes and submissions.
Knowledge of basic financial processes such as invoice processing, raising purchase orders etc is key to the performance of this role. Furthermore, you will be analytical with the ability interpret and apply complex written information relating to policies and procedures, providing delivery of high-quality materials and reports in a concise manner.
You will be highly organised with excellent verbal and written communication skills including report writing and will be competent using Microsoft Office packages e.g. sharepoint, word, excel, power point, project, outlook.
You will have a passion for customer service where you will have the skills to deal with stakeholders, colleagues, team members and other teams from across the business.
The ideal candidate will take a proactive interest in energy market and associated economic and political issues in UK and Ireland.
