Energy Solutions - design, install, monitor, maintain and optimise Building Energy Management Systems as part of SSE's Distributed Energy division developing Energy Control solutions for smart places - Cities, Campuses and Industrial buildings:

What is the role?

This is a unique opportunity to join our Junior Engineer Programme within the Energy Solutions team. This team focuses on helping businesses achieve significant reductions in their buildings' energy consumption through Building Management Systems and remote support via our Energy Management Centre.

Reporting into the Operations Manager you'll ensure that building management systems are maintained and operate correctly at customer sites through service level and commissioning tasks.

What do I need?

To be successful in this role you'll have demonstrable previous electrical background ideally in a BEMS/HVAC Building Management Systems experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills will be some of your key assets along with the ability to build, nurture and maintain strong relationships with clients and your team.

This Programme requires you to be highly organised and self-driven with the ability to manage your time well. You should be flexible in your approach to work to maximise your chances of success, and you should be happy working alone or as part of a team.

Excellent communication skills are essential to maintain a collaborative working environment with all stakeholders including customers and external service providers. It is expected you'll display a professional manner and a dedication to meeting customer expectations, including delivering technical support and direction. You'll be working in an ever-changing environment and as such will be adaptable and flexible.

As you will be travelling to different sites its essential that you hold a full driving licence.
