Our SSE Finance function has a key part to play in fulfilling SSE's obligations as a UK-listed company, providing expertise and services that can be shared across the SSE Group, and working in partnership with all businesses to provide services tailored to their specific needs. SSE operates in a highly regulated and increasingly competitive environment, and our role is to ensure that we gather, compile, analyse and recommend on the financial strategy for our businesses, identifying opportunities to drive efficiencies and create value for SSE now, and in the future.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant in the Group Services Finance team based in Perth. In this role, you will be responsible for the execution of comprehensive general accounting and period closing activities supporting SSE Fleet Management and other Group Services functions. You will also be responsible for producing budgets and forecasts and provide support to the group external reporting team with the preparation of statutory accounts. There will also be scope to get involved in, and support, adhoc project work.
SSE is going through a period of substantial change, so this role allows you to join us at an interesting time, and to really make an impact on our finance business whilst strengthening and developing your own skills.
Skills and Experiences
