About the Department
SSE is Ireland's second largest energy utility and the leading developer and investor in cleaner energy infrastructure. SSE owns and operates over 2,000MW of generation capacity on the island of Ireland, of which 718MW is from renewable sources. SSE Airtricity supplies greener electricity, natural gas and essential services to over 770,000 homes and businesses. Since 2008, SSE has directly invested over £2bn in growing its Ireland energy business including investment in large-scale, cleaner energy infrastructure. As a result of that investment SSE has contributed over €5bn to Irish Gross Domestic Product (GDP) since 2010, demonstrating the scale of economic activity that SSE's operations support across Ireland.

What is the Role?
As part of the Accounts Payable team, you will be responsible for the processing of supplier invoices, liaising with suppliers and SSE business on queries and ensuring payments are made in line with the Prompt Payment code. Your responsibilities will extend to reconciling supplier statements to ensure that the system accurately reflects invoices and credit notes which are outstanding.
What do I need?
To be successful in this role you should have a good understanding of how an Accounts Payable department operates. Be an excellent communicator with a professional telephone manner and have good problem-solving skills. You will be expected to use your own initiative and work both flexibly and as part of a team. Being proficient in the use of Excel and Oracle would be an advantage for this role. In addition, you should be able to demonstrate an ability to meet performance targets and manage your workload.
