Our Role

Due to our growing and developing plans in the HV sector, we have a new opportunity for an experienced 11kV Senior Authorised Person to join our HV business based from our Slough office.

As the successful candidate, you will be working on LV and HV networks and associated plant as well as providing technical support during early sales engagement. In this role you will undertake full SAP operational duties ranging from operational switching, network control & issuing safety documents. There will also be a requirement to provide project management expertise across small, medium and occasional large HV Projects. We currently undertaking work for a number of 3rd party (Private) customers in addition to projects for SSE Networks. We need to add to our small team of 11kV SAPs on those projects.

Your Skills and Experience

You'll ideally be an experienced Senior Authorised Person on HV systems, with extensive operational experience on a diverse range of HV and LV systems. Being accredited to the standards set by a UK licensed Distribution Network Operator will be very advantageous. You'll be familiar with, and comply with, all Suspension of Operational Practice, Dangerous Incident Notifications and National Defect Reports, with proven expertise in site project and contract management. In addition, you'll have extensive knowledge of Switching and Network Control as well as the construction, commissioning and operation of electrical plant and equipment on all types of HV systems.

Passionate about safety, you will promote this throughout your team and to all Contractors on site, comfortably challenging any unsafe behaviours or attitudes. You'll have strong communication skills, with the ability to deliver technical training and advice to less-experienced colleagues. You will use your people-management skills to effectively achieve results from your team of direct and indirect labour and from Contractors.

A full UK driving licence is also essential to enable you to cover the network area.
